Our inclusive Zanny Zebra!

This is one of our VI pupils checking out the school's Zainy Zebra.
The reason she can 'check it out' is because it is not just painted....
Marwell Zoo gave the school special permission to make our Zebra tactile as well as visual, taking into account that the school has pupils with a visual impairment.
So if you see this Zainy Zebra around, step up closer and have a feel. Pay attention to its hooves, there is Braille.

Year Four Cooking with Eggs

We are very lucky at Kings Copse School that we have chickens. Each class takes it in turns to look after the chickens and collect the eggs. Year four collected enough eggs for each child to have an egg to cook.

The children got into groups to design their products. They needed a name, a price, packaging, an advert, a logo and a persuasive pitch.

There was lots of hard work.

Then the cooking of quiche and meringues began.

Separating the yoke from the White.
Mixing.
Before cooking.

Watching the cooking.

Finished meringues ready for fruit and cream.
Year four had lots of fun.
