Manor Farm

On the afternoon of Wednesday 27th March, the children and staff of the Oasis visited Manor Farm and Country Park.

To give our children first hand experience of the new life that spring brings, we took them for an afternoon visit to Manor Farm and Country Park for a handling session with the new born animals.

We met 'Jake' the lamb...

'Rambo' the Rooster...

A very fluffy chicken...

Lots of busy ducks...

and hungry piglets...

We even met 'Lily' the dairy cow's unborn calf...she or he was kicking inside her mum!

But best of all we met a tractor!!

We had a fabulous afternoon. Our Visually Impaired pupils had a brilliant hands-on tour of the farmyard. Their senses were bombarded with the sounds, smells and feel of the farm and its animals.
Thank you to the staff at Manor Farm and to Kings Copse PTA who generously funded the outing.
